Ability in Action
We fundamentally believe that coaching is not just about talking the talk but actually walking the walk. Which is why we are challenging ourselves to undertake some of the world’s greatest physical (and mental) tests.
Starting with the Kokoda Track in October 2018, Rani, Adam and their team of passionate supporters trained their bodies and minds to tackle activities that challenge even the most able-bodied humans.
Clubs NSW believe in their mission and came on board as Gold Sponsor, which turned this idea into reality. Clubs NSW promote diversity and inclusion – social responsibility and community is at the heart of everything that they do, and the Age of Ability is incredibly grateful for their ongoing support.
Clubs NSW has enabled Rani, Adam and their team to produce a motivational film called A Journey from Struggle to Strength as well as fundraise for an incredible organisation – Father Chris Reilly’s Youth Off The Streets.

About the Project
We will start by flying from Sydney to Port Moresby, before boarding a bus the next day to Owens Corner where we’ll start our trek. Over the next nine days, we will walk in the footsteps of Australia’s brave soldiers, navigating the dense jungle, creeks, mud and steep terrain, not to mention snakes, leeches and creepy crawlies! We’ll be supported by a group of porters who will help us make camp every night, but this is not a glamping trip – we know it will be a gruelling physical and mental challenge. But it’s a trip that we cannot wait to make, to prove to the world that no matter your ability, you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

About Youth Off The Streets
Youth Off The Streets supports these young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal trauma such as neglect, physical, psychological and/or emotional abuse.
It is their goal that these young people will leave their care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a full-time or part time job in hand.
Since opening in 1991, Youth Off The Streets has grown from a single food van delivering meals to young homeless people on the streets of Kings Cross to a major youth specific agency offering a full continuum of care through delivery of a wide range of services.
Their 35 services include aboriginal programs, crisis accommodation, alcohol and other drug services, counselling, accredited high schools, outreach and residential programs. Volunteers support them every step of the way.
Youth Off The Streets is accredited as a Designated Agency for Out of Home Care and maintains policies and procedures that comply with the benchmark standards as defined by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
